Why waves the dubious maid in light suspence, 
Between the coxcomb and her man of sense?
Wou'd she but raise a short-liv'd, false, desire, 
The first may serve to fan the languid fire.
But, if the joys of real love she'd taste, 
She must determine to approve the last.
